Nike Announces Official Self-Lacing ‘Back to the Future’ Sneakers

HAPPY ‘BACK TO THE FUTURE’ DAY!!! While we may not yet have flying cars filling the skies or street gangs roaming the streets on hoverboards, there is something on the horizon that will excite you sneakerheads out there. Today Nike has officially revealed the first pair of power-lacing Air Mags in New York City to commemorate this special day. What’s even more amazing is the company teamed up with Michael J. Fox who played Marty in the movies to make this big announcement.

These long awaited foot wear features an, “individually responsive system that senses the wearer’s motion to provide adaptive on-demand comfort and support.” Nike also reveals that they will be using this technology across multiple sports-related products and platforms to create a “future game-changing footwear with unprecedented performance features.” At the moment the only existing pair are with Michael J. Fox for his appearance on tonight’s ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’. If you want to get your hands on a pair, they will be available as part of an auction in 2016 to benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
