The doors to the Labyrinth of Jareth has opened and closed for another year. For those who are unfamiliar of this grand event, it’s an amazing two night costume ball held each year in Los Angeles. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the masquerade which was held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Attendees were able to explore a magical realm of four ballrooms, a marketplace, tea room, an outside courtyard, and much more. But the best had to be the live performances of music and dance.
Perhaps the best thing has to be all the fantastic costumes which everyone wears, one could spend all night just people watching and admiring all the glitz and glamour. If you’re into fantasy, costumes, and things of this nature, then LoJ is something you should experience at least once in life and doubly so if you’re local to the LA area.
I applaud Lord Strider and the Sypher Arts Studios for creating this grand gala populated by elves, knights, goblins, nobles, and all sorts of other fanciful denizens. And as the closing ceremony ends the evening, I look forward to the next year where we shall once again don our masks for a night filled with magic and wonderment. Hope to see you there! Until then check out some of the photos from the event below.
